Sheikh Hasina has taken Bengali language at a unique height: Joy

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the ICT Adviser to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the Prime Minister has uplifted Bangla language  at a unique height.

He shared a video on his verified Facebook page at the zero hours of Monday (February 20). In its caption, he described how the International Mother Language Day was recognized step by step from Language Martyrs' Day on 21 February. 

Sajeeb Wazed wrote in Facebook post saying, 'The proposal was raised at the Paris session of UNESCO held on November 17, 1999 and 188 countries supported it and declared February 21 as the International Mother Language Day. Since then in 2000, the day is being celebrated as the International Mother Language Day every year on 21 February.'

In Joy's words, 'And the privileged daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Prime Minister, People's Leader, Sheikh Hasina, brought a unique honor to the Bengali language. February 21 is a special day for people of all languages ​​all over the world.

Paying tribute to the language martyrs in the post, the Prime Minister's son commented, "Deep respect for those whose blood was sacrificed for the language on the Great Martyrs' Day and the International Mother Language Day."

Along with the post, Sajeeb Wazed also released a documentary of 11 minutes and 19 seconds in which a number of information about Great Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day was presented.
